About

According to the statistics from the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS), there were 4,976 students from China has stared their higher education courses at Britain’s universities and colleges in 2008. In total, about 75,000 Chinese students study in Britain.

Most of these students (including myself) are in their twenties and from one-child family. Because most parents dote on their only child, the generation born  in 1980s in China are regarded as not independent, selfish, lonely and spoiled. For them, living in a different country, without caring from parents and friends, having to handle all stuff by themselves is a big challenge. It seems like a new start of the life.

This blog targets this special community group, and aims to provide useful information and share various stories with Chinese students in the UK. No matter you are already graduated, still staying or planning to come, I believe you will find some common interests and feelings from this blog!
